RIMREC State of Emergency - Blizzard Recovery Update - March 20, 2023

RIMREC State of Emergency Update

Thank you for your patience as the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District develops an appropriate timeline to return to regular scheduling.

  1. The Twin Peaks Community Center and the Robert Hootman Community Center in Running Springs are accessible but will be occupied by the County Of San Bernardino’s Emergency Operations Department in support of our mountain.
  2. The District Office has sustained damage. The District Office including the District Office Meeting Room, District Office Activity Room/Gym, District Office Dance & Fitness Studio, and the Sunrise Children’s Club Preschool is closed until further notice. Especially Tuesday, March 21st and Wednesday, March 22nd during the anticipated storm. The District Office including surrounding facilities will be reassessed Thursday, March 23rd.
  3. Playgrounds and Fields: Are currently buried in snow but we do not foresee any damage, but we don’t recommend visiting these amenities at these times.

We will post additional updates as they come on our website, www.rim-rec.org and our Facebook Page.

We truly miss not being able to see our Park District families and friends attend their recreation programs, gather in our facilities, and use our parks.

Thank you,

The Rim of the World Recreation and Park District
