Kaitlyn & Ashlyn Bryer

Position: Instructors & Co-Owners, Altitude FitKids

Kaitlyn and Ashlyn Bryer have been involved in gymnastics since age three and began ballet, tap, and jazz shortly after. They have also trained in lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, hula, acrobatic dance, and cheer, and have competed in acrobatic dance, rhythmic gymnastics, tumbling, and cheer at regional, West Coast, and National competitions, helping their teams earn first- and second-place rankings. Since 2018, they have been dance instructors and gymnastics coaches, often choreographing routines for recitals, performances, and competitions. Both have trained in aerial acrobatics—lyra, silk, hammock, and trapeze—and completed the Aerial and Bungee Fitness Teacher Certification Course in 2021. They are also certified Water Safety Instructors through the American Red Cross.

Kaitlyn and Ashlyn are graduate-level students at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Kaitlyn, majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Materials, is an intern at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and manages a student-led CubeSat project, gaining hands-on experience designing, building, and testing satellites for space missions. Ashlyn is pursuing a Science degree and plans to continue to a doctorate in Dentistry specializing in orthodontics. She is in her second year interning at dental offices in Lake Arrowhead and Orange County.

Since 2023, Kaitlyn and Ashlyn have been co-owners of Altitude FitKids, where they teach dance and gymnastics through Rim of the World Recreation and Park District. Outside of the studio, they are advanced horseback riders in both western (barrel, reining, trail) and English (hunt seat, jumping) disciplines, working as horse trainers at the Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch at Cal Poly Pomona and participating in Sunday community shows. Beloved by their students, they have established a strong rapport in the studio and are favorites for both dance and gymnastics instruction.
