Per Capita Grant Program

Under the Parks and Water Bond Act of 2018 (Prop 68), the Park District applied for the funds available for local park rehabilitation and improvements in which Arrowbear Park qualified. Arrowbear Park will have new playground features, a shade structure for field spectators, and improvements to the picnic area for outdoor gatherings.

Preschool Age and Infant/Toddler Childcare Research Survey

The Park District is researching different avenues to help families who need childcare as more parents and caregivers are returning to work. The Rim of the World Recreation and Park District currently runs Sunrise Children’s Club Preschool in Rimforest for 3 – 5-year-old children who are potty-trained. This program is designed to support working parents and help prepare children for kindergarten. The Preschool currently has a waiting list. There is also a high need for infant/toddler care. To help in the research, the Park District is collecting information from parents who need childcare. The Park District is also collecting interested preschool-aged and infant/toddler-care professionals looking for work. Childcare professionals must possess the required units or be currently working towards completing their credentials. If you would like more information, please contact the Park District Office by emailing info@rim-rec.org.
