NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to California Government Code Section 50077, that the Board of Directors of the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District will conduct a public hearing on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at the Twin Peaks Community Center, located at 675 Grandview Road, Twin Peaks, California 92391.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public input and consider whether the Board should proceed with placing a parcel tax measure on the November 3, 2026 ballot. If approved by the voters, the proposed measure would increase the District's existing parcel tax from $22 per parcel per year to $37 per parcel per year. The proposed measure would also authorize an annual adjustment of up to one percent (1%) to partially offset inflation.
The proposed parcel tax increase would be used for purposes identified by the District, including the operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of parks, recreational facilities, community centers, ball fields, and other District facilities and services.
Pursuant to applicable law, the proposed parcel tax measure would require approval by two-thirds (2/3) of the voters voting on the measure at the November 3, 2026 election.
All interested people, and community members, specifically including those owning property within the District, may appear in person and be heard at the public hearing. Written comments and questions may also be submitted to the District prior to the hearing.
