Pokémon™ Camp at RIMREC - Learn to play! 

Whether you’re a seasoned Pokémon trainer or just starting your adventure, this camp is the perfect place to learn, play, and make friends!

Discover the secrets of Pokémon™ and create your ultimate team. Learn strategies to find the advantage in friendly battles and emerge victorious. Join in Pokémon card games using your own deck and cards provided for you! At the end of camp you will take home the 60 card battle deck YOU create, and cards collected from daily chances to win more Pokémon prizes.

You will also learn how to take your Pokémon skills to the next level by seeing what Pokémon types and moves are effective against your opponents and figuring out how to synergize your team. Each day, discover new Pokémon, trainers, supporters, and item cards to maximize your team’s potential. The last day of camp will be a winner take all tournament for an ultimate Pokémon prize!

What you’ll do:

Pokémon Card Game Battles: Engage in epic battles with other trainers, strategize your moves, and try out new Pokémon. Chances to win Pokémon prizes every day.

Pokémon Creation: Design your own unique Pokémon card, complete with stats, abilities, and a captivating backstory.

Pokémon Tournament: Get creative and make your own Pokémon-themed crafts, such as plushies, keychains, and artwork.

Build Your Own Battle Deck: build your very own 60 card battle deck and continue your Pokémon Trainer Journey at home!

 What you’ll learn:

Strategic Thinking: Develop your strategic thinking skills as you build your team, plan your battles, and weigh risky decisions.

Creativity: Unleash your imagination and create your own unique Pokémon and teams. Whether you favor strategy or just that one Pokémon, building and battling your team should be fun.

Teamwork: Collaborate with other trainers to build a strong Pokémon team and engage in healthy competition.

Problem-Solving: Overcome obstacles and find creative solutions to challenges in your Pokémon journey.

At the beginning of the week, you’ll receive your very own set of Pokémon cards, including one Pokémon Ex, and a storage box to hold them. Many additional cards will be available to swap out with your deck or to build one from scratch. Throughout the week, you’ll get to open booster packs, trade with other campers, and use your cards to battle with other campers as well. At the end of the week, you can take home all of the Pokémon cards you have collected.

You’re also welcome to bring your own favorite Pokémon cards to use or trade* at camp!

*No exchange of money can take place at camp between students, parents, or staff. This includes but is not limited to selling items, betting, bribing, or buying items or services.
