Rim Elite Cheer - One Day Cheer Camp

Hey girls!  A day of cheerleading!

Come join us and learn some cheer basics, new cheers and a dance!  Here’s your chance to see what cheerleading is all about!

Please wear sweat pants or shorts (Navy, white or grey.  RIM colors) tennis shoes and socks.  You will be given your camp T-shirt to wear and keep.  Bring a healthy sack lunch (No soda or candy).

Rim Volleyball

Rim Volleyball is a recreational program for boys, girls and adults that want to learn this sport in a fun, safe and supervised environment. While the program teaches the skills necessary to excel in the sport of volleyball, the focus remains on participation, cooperation, sportsmanship, responsibility and, of course, fun! Strength, endurance and improved coordination result from the weekly activity of the program with an emphasis on positive reinforcement and to build confidence and self-esteem in each participant.

Preschool/Kinder Music & Movement

Music and movement combines basic movement, dance and tumbling skills to assist your child with developing musicality, balance, flexibility, strength, hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills.  Dance/movement skills taught include pre-beginning ballet, jazz, baton, Broadway, hip-hop and contemporary dance styles.  The tumbling portion will include basic floor skills (such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, headstands and pre-walkover) as well as balance beam.  This class also encourages self-expression and positive peer interaction.

Intro to Dance and Tumbling (Level I & II)

Is your child eager to dance, but not sure what style?  Intro to Dance & Tumbling was created to introduce beginners to some of the most popular dance genres and basic tumbling skills.  Now you can customize your child's instruction by choosing the dance genre or tumbling class you prefer.  Dance and tumbling are excellent forms of exercise and encourage self-expression through creative movement as well as assist with musicality, balance, flexibility, strength and coordination.  Class sizes are limited.

Intermediate Jazz teaches emotional and physical connection to music with exposure to many different styles of jazz dance.  This class includes center floor warm-up and stretching, across the floor and center work including combinations will be taught with an emphasis on individual character.

Heartsaver CPR

This class will teach CPR basics for adult, child and infant, foreign body airway obstruction and rescue breathing. You will learn both 1-rescuer and 2-rescuer methods. Participants that complete the course satisfactorily will receive a card from the American Heart Association. This card will be valid for 2 years.

Heartsaver First Aid will teach basic first aid skills for shock, bleeding, broken bones, sprains, stroke, seizures, choking, burns, bites, stings and more. This program will also teach signs of common emergencies. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Heartsaver First Aid card from the American Heart Association.

Tiny Tots Gymnastics

Tiny Tot Gymnastics is designed to introduce your toddler or preschooler to basic gymnastic equipment and their proper use.  A variety of basic tumbling skills including rolls (forward, backward, log), cartwheels, assisted walk-overs will be taught in a loosely structured manner.  Other gymnastics skills that will be introduced include balance beam, single bar and mini trampoline.  Class assists with gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, as well as self-confidence and peer interaction.

Polynesian Dancing

Polynesian Dance is loving, uplifting and has a spirit of ‘aloha’. Come learn the dances and cultures of the Pacific Islands: Hawaiian, Tahitian, Maori and Samoan. Leave your stresses, cares, mental and body fatigue behind. Enjoy the rhythms of the drums and music of the ocean. Both traditional (Kahiko) and Modern (Awana) hula dances are taught. There are classes for all ages from 4 years to 104 years. Classes range from beginner to advanced levels. Participants may perform at various venues throughout the Inland Empire.

Japanese Karate-Do

Japanese Karate-Do is an art form where you learn basic and advanced techniques of SHITO-RYU KARATE, including the various blocks, strikes, stances, kicks, sweeps, throws, take downs, choke holds, joint locks, pressure points and counter moves. You will also learn the various katas (forms) and kumite (sparring) as well as self-defense for street encounters. The benefits of this training are good health, flexibility, strength, conditioning, balance, discipline and self-confidence all while learning this traditional form of self-defense.
